At Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in the Lower Valley, Sunday services are a full-blown spectacle.

The pews are packed full of people dancing, singing, and making joyful noise.

While the congregation worships, volunteers in the kitchen make dinner for the church crowd.

In the midst of the celebration, it is difficult to believe that less than 3 years ago, this church community experienced a tragedy that put the future of Friendship Missionary Church in doubt.
